A massive movement of people is underway from Hyderabad to districts of Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and even parts of Karnataka, with everyone eager to reunite with their families in their hometowns before Saturday.
Reports indicate that on October 2, an industrialist received a call from a woman claiming to be an official from the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI). She informed him that his Aadhar card was not linked to his mobile phone number and mentioned that her superiors would contact him before ending the call.
He said the government would appoint technical experts to examine the quality of works of the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Scheme and other barrages and projects taken up by the BRS government.
They pointed out that the Congress party was orchestrating the smear campaign and demanded stringent action against those responsible for the misinformation campaign.
Police have also intensified combing operations to thwart any attempts by Maoists to sneak into Telangana from Maharashtra by crossing the Pranahita river
