The arrested persons were identified as M Rama Rao (52) of Khairatabad, K Srinivasa Rao (54) of Neredmet and Sunkari Saritha (27), a nurse who purchased stolen property from them.
According to the police, thieves opened the shutter of Mathaji Jewellers and Pawnbrokers using hand tools and gained entry into the store before escaping with ornaments post-midnight
The gang, while trying to break into Grameena Vikas Bank branch on the busy NH-161 at Shivvampet, triggered off the alarm that alerted the police who immediately rushed to the spot.
The suspects damaged the shutters of a jewelry shop, two footwear shops, two grocery stores at Gunj Road, and three other shops including a hardware shop near Kodangal cross road.
