According to the police, thieves opened the shutter of Mathaji Jewellers and Pawnbrokers using hand tools and gained entry into the store before escaping with ornaments post-midnight
The gang, while trying to break into Grameena Vikas Bank branch on the busy NH-161 at Shivvampet, triggered off the alarm that alerted the police who immediately rushed to the spot.
The suspects damaged the shutters of a jewelry shop, two footwear shops, two grocery stores at Gunj Road, and three other shops including a hardware shop near Kodangal cross road.
P Raj Karan (19), Shaik Jameel alias Raju (35), Peter Paul (18) were arrested by Hyderabad Task Force and J Chandhan alias Ramesh (36), S Shankaraiah (26) held by Medipally police
According to reports, the burglars used gas cutters to open the cash dispensing machine before making away with the cash inside. The incident happened past midnight at the State Bank of India ATM centre in Vanasthalipuram.

Raju, Veerender Kumar and Dharmender travelled all the way from their native Kathara Mafi village in Shravasti district of Uttar Pradesh, to Goliwada pump house where they committed the crime.
