  • Farmer electrocuted while watering maize crop in Nirmal

    A 54-year-old farmer from Surzapur village in Nirmal district died after being accidentally electrocuted while irrigating his maize crop on Saturday night. He was found dead near a well on his farm. A case has been registered and investigation is underway.

    A farmer in Peddapalli district lost his life after being electrocuted while attempting to hang aluminium reels on electric wires to protect his paddy crop. The incident occurred in Kothapalli village of Dharmaram mandal. Unaware of the conductive nature of aluminium, Bhukya Mallesh Naik died instantly when the reel made contact with a waterlogged area.
