As part of this Challenge, Sarileru Neekevvaru director Anil Ravipudi, who celebrated his birthday on Monday, participated and planted saplings at Araku which falls near Vizag along with Gali Sampath’s film unit.

The actor said that the Green India Challenge was a brilliant initiative by Santosh Kumar to save forests and the environment.

Actors Aishwarya Rajesh and Nikhil Siddharth got added to the list of celebrities who took part in the Green India Challenge.

Speaking on the occasion, Gangavva said that she accepted the challenge and planted the sapling as part of the Green Challenge initiated by Santosh Kumar.

Responding to the challenge given by Akkineni Naga Chaitanya, Rakul Preet Singh planted saplings at MLA- MP colony in Jubilee Hills.

Members of Youth Hostels Association of India planted Himalayan Balsam plants in the temple premises of Kedarnath, which is located in Garhwal Himalayan range.

He further nominated actors Nikhil, Sunil and Navin Chandra to plant trees to make the environment green.

PFAK stated that they would take up social activities every year drawing inspiration from Rebel Stars Krishnam Raju and Prabhas.

Having wandered in different places for shooting, he felt that the greenery in Hyderabad is wonderfully pleasant after Kerala.
