As part of this Challenge, Sarileru Neekevvaru director Anil Ravipudi, who celebrated his birthday on Monday, participated and planted saplings at Araku which falls near Vizag along with Gali Sampath’s film unit.
Speaking on the occasion, Gangavva said that she accepted the challenge and planted the sapling as part of the Green Challenge initiated by Santosh Kumar.
Speaking on the occasion Jagapathi Babu said, “Global warming is because of reduction of greenery and he stated that the simple step of planting saplings can avoid the major catastrophe.
Members of Youth Hostels Association of India planted Himalayan Balsam plants in the temple premises of Kedarnath, which is located in Garhwal Himalayan range.
Ram Charan thanked actor Prabhas for nominating him to take up the Green Challenge. He expressed regret over being a little late in accepting the challenge and plant trees.
Priyanka Varghese also said that such challenges will also create awareness among the citizens and the responsibility of caring for the plants will increase.
