Custody marks the first Tamil film for Tollywood actor Naga Chaitanya, and vice versa for the director Venkat Prabhu.

Custody is produced by Srinivasaa Chitturi under Srinivasaa Silver Screen. Krithi Shetty is the female lead.

The actor, who is known for his love for good food, made his way to the famous Hotel Nayaab to indulge in a gastronomic adventure.

Helmed by Malayali filmmaker Venkat Prabhu, the film is his first venture in Telugu and also Naga Chaitanya’s debut in Tamil.

Venkat Prabhu loved Chay's performance in the film and approached the actor with the storyline of Custody, believing the actor fits his character perfectly.

Since Custody is a bilingual film, Venkat Prabhu picked Arvind Swami as the opposite force to Naga Chaitanya in the film.
