According to ACB Warangal Range DSP P Sambaiah, Guguloth Gopal was caught red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 6,000 from the complainant Banoth Yakub at Nakkalagutta area of Hanamkonda city.

The duo demanded Rs 30,000 for transferring the file from the AO login to the MRO login, Yadav approached the ACB officials unable to pay the bribe.

The complainant Shiva Kumar applied in the municipality requesting for a house number on September 25, after which the Revenue Inspector Venkat Rao demanded a bribe.

Adilabad ACB DSP VV Ramana Murthy said that the Sub-Inspector K Raju was caught red-handed while accepting the bribe from S Thirumal, one of the two accused persons in a case.

Officials said he had demanded the bribe from a farmer over a land registration. More details are awaited.

The gold ornaments and silver biscuits were found in two lockers of a private bank’s branches in Old Alwal and Medchal, which were in the name of PJ Mahender Kumar and PJ Nandagopal, both friends of Nagaraj, who died allegedly by suicide in prison recently.

The account was opened in the name of Gopal and his brother, who is now residing in the US. As Gopal’s brother was Nagaraj's friend, the joint account was opened and a locker was also secured.
