Addressing a press conference at Telangana Bhavan here on Monday, Lakshmaiah pointed out that Revanth Reddy himself had admitted that around five lakh farmers are yet to receive Rythu Bandhu financial assistance.

Reddy has vowed to found a trust with Rs 100 crore budget drawing funds from his joint family's properties.

Maheshwar Reddy said the Chief Minister had promised to waive farm loans up to Rs. 2 lakh by August 15, whereas he was supposed to implement all the promises made under the six guarantees.

It was said that as district Collector VP Gautham examined nomination papers, Congress candidate Ramasahayam Raghuram Reddy’s supporters asked the election officials to reject the nomination of Nageswara Rao as he failed to mention the ED case in the affidavit.

Moreover, they opposed the candidature of Gaddam Vamshi Krishna, who hails from Mala community and warned to defeat the congress candidate if the ticket was allocated to Vamshi Krishna.

Having aligned himself with the cause of Telangana statehood, Padma Rao Goud joined the TRS (now BRS) in 2001 to support K Chandrashekhar Rao's fight for Telangana statehood, and has since been a steadfast advocate for the region's interests.
