BRS tasted victory in 11 of the 14 constituencies where it had replaced its candidates with fresh faces

He won the seat by a massive margin of 85,576 votes over his rival Kuna Srisailam Goud.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), KTR said that Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) is grateful to the people of Telangana for giving two consecutive terms of Government in the State.

In second place is BJP’s Chenaboyanna Krishna Yadav with 25,558. Congress’s Dr. Rohin Kumar secured only 11,064 votes. 

In Sanathnagar, BRS candidate Talasani Srinivas Yadav is in the lead with 4330 votes and Danam Nagendra with 3539 votes for Khairatabad.

The counting of votes polled for the 119 assembly constituencies has begun at 8 am on Sunday. The votes locked in the EVMs will be taken up for counting by 9 am. The counting of votes is being carried out at 49 centers.

With the counting of votes slated to be held on Sunday, party sources said all Congress candidates were asked to reach Hyderabad and camp at a private hotel in the city.

Though polling was delayed in a few polling stations following technical problems in EVMS, election officials started the process by rectifying the problems.  

KTR appealed to the Election Commission of India to review its rules on permitting exit polls even as polling was on in a few constituencies

A brief disturbance occurred at a Jangaon polling station within the government junior college premises, swiftly resolved by the police after a protest by Congress and other opposition activists.

According to the poll commission, Adilabad recorded a voter turnout of 30.65 per cent, Bhadradri at 22.05 per cent, Hanumankonda at 21.43 per cent and Jagtial at 22.50 per cent.
