Speaking on the occasion, Chandrashekhar Rao reiterated that violent attacks on BRS leaders would not be tolerated in Telangana.

In a statement, the Chief Minister expressed deep concern over the resorting to violence and murder as a means of pursuing political goals rather than seeking the public's mandate through elections.

The Centre, he said, was adamant about fitting meters on all agricultural pump sets and imposing electricity bills on farmers in the State.
