Unemployed youth and student activists protesting near the Secretariat were arrested on Friday while demanding the Congress government release a long-promised job calendar. They accused the government of delays, broken promises, and taking credit for BRS-era job notifications.
BRS leader K.T. Rama Rao condemned the arrests of protesting job seekers at the Secretariat, accusing the Congress of suppressing dissent. He warned of a state-wide agitation if the government fails to fulfill its promise of providing two lakh jobs.
