The incident came to light in the morning when the locals found the carcass of the goats at a distance away from the animal shed and informed their shepherd K. Lalya. 

Panic gripped the villages around Kongala waterfall, as some villagers noticed the leopard perched atop a leafless tree.

In the first incident, leopard attacked a herd of sheep and seriously injured a shepherd at Somarpaet village of Yellareddy mandal in Kamareddy district on Wednesday

Forest officials from Ranga Reddy district examined the spots where the big cat was claimed to have been sighted and are checking for traces including pug marks.

The animal is suspected to have attacked the cow in a secluded place.

The department installed camera traps after request from the airport officials, who maintained that the leopard was killing wild pigs.

On receiving information about sighting of a leopard, the forest department officials inspected the spot and installed 10 camera traps.

Forest Department officials who verified CCTV footage in the Shamshabad area said they could not find any pugmarks

A video clip, apparently from a CCTV feed, showing the animal walking on the road between Shamshabad and Tukkuguda before jumping a wall which has a wired fencing and which is said to be the runway compound wall, is making the rounds.
