The Mumbai-Goa Vande Bharat Express train route testing was successfully completed on Tuesday, and the train completed the one-way trip in over seven hours.
The window panes of the train were damaged and no passengers were injured. The complaint was filed at Renigunta police station and two suspects were taken into custody.
The train, which departed Thiruvananthapuram at 5.20 a.m., arrived at Kasaragod at 1.10 p.m. The first trial run of the train was conducted on Monday from Thiruvananthapuram to Kannur.

Stones were pelted on the Vande Bharat train in Visakhapatnam city of Andhra Pradesh. This is the third time when a stone pelting incident has been reported.
The incident in Khammam was one of the many such incidents that occurred since the launch of the train by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in February, 2019 raising questions about the train’s build quality.
