Two years after the collapse of piers at Medigadda barrage, the Telangana government has initiated rehabilitation efforts by inviting EOIs for design proposals. The move, timed ahead of local body elections, follows damning findings by the National Dam Safety Authority (NDSA), which recommended urgent structural fixes across KLIP barrages.

The disqualification hearings against defected MLAs continued in the Telangana Assembly, with BRS advocates cross-examining Chevella MLA Kale Yadaiah and Rajendranagar MLA T Prakash Goud. The MLAs denied joining Congress and struggled to explain their absence from key BRS events.

The BRS has accused the Congress-led Telangana government of betraying minorities and implementing the BJP’s Waqf Act amendments. Party leaders announced mosque protests on October 3 to highlight unfulfilled promises, including the Minority Declaration.
