Former MLA Peddi Sudarshan Reddy accused the Revanth Reddy-led Telangana government of conspiring in a Rs 400 crore paddy procurement scam. He alleged a quid pro quo deal benefiting four bidders, criticized delays in FIR registration, and demanded resignations over urea shortages.

Seven shepherds from Narmala village in Rajanna-Sircilla district were rescued by Army helicopters after being stranded in floodwaters near the Upper Manair project. Officials monitored the operation, while food was supplied via drone until helicopters airlifted them to safety.

BJP MLA T Raja Singh has urged Hyderabad Police Commissioner C V Anand to act against Fisheries Federation chairman Mettu Sai Kumar for installing a Ganesh idol resembling CM A Revanth Reddy. Singh said the act insults the festival and hurts Hindu sentiments.

Medak district witnessed unprecedented rainfall with Sardhana village recording 328 mm in 24 hours. Overflowing streams and rising water levels in Pocharam dam forced officials to evacuate Sardhana residents to safety. Heavy rains also lashed Nagapur, Chegunta and Ramayampet.

BRS president and former CM K Chandrashekhar Rao expressed concern over heavy rains and floods in Telangana and directed party cadre to actively support relief operations. One of two men swept away in Medak’s Gangamma vagu during heavy rains was found dead near Rajpet village on Thursday. The deceased, Bestha Satyam, was identified as a local resident, while search operations continue for the missing villager, Yada Goud.

Three farmers were stranded near Pothareddypet in Siddipet after Pedda Cheruvu began overflowing on Wednesday night. Identified as Sherla Raju, Gopal, and Sudarshan, they were trapped while working in fields. Police, led by Commissioner Anuradha, launched rescue efforts.
