Harish Rao goes on whirlwind tour of Nagarkurnool, Wanaparthy

Nagarkurnool/Wanaparthy: Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao, during his day’s tour of Nagarkurnool and Wanaparthy districts, laid foundation stone for laying of a BT road from Mahatma Gandhi Kalwakurthy Lift Irrigation Project’s main canal from Yelluru reservoir to Singotam reservoir on Saturday.

He also visited Nagarkurnool’s agricultural market yard and interacted with groundnut farmers and assessed profitability from the yield farmers were getting this Yelluruseason. he also made a stop on his way to Kalwakurthy and interacted with farmers.

Harish Rao and Minister for Panchayat Raj Jupally Krishna Rao also inaugurated a godown which was constructed with a cost of Rs 3 Crore in Weepanagandla’s agricultural market yard in Wanaparthy district.

Speaking at the event, Harish Rao said that the state government was continuously working in the interests of farmers and that the government’s goal was to provide irrigation to each and every ‘gunta’ in Palamuru region.

Health Minister C Laxma Reddy, who participated in Harish Rao’s tour of the districts made sudden inspection at Pedda Mandhadi mandal’s primary health centre along with Devarkadra MLA Alla Venkateshwar Reddy. He checked the hospital’s records and enquired about the issues facing the PHC.
