In the first public meeting of the BRS at Medak after releasing the first list of its candidates for the Assembly elections, Chandrashekhar Rao said the Dharani portal had taken away the power to alter land ownership from officials and placed it directly in the hands of the farmers.

BRS district president Rega Kantha Rao called on former BJP district president Koneru Satyanarayana at the latter’s residence here on Wednesday and welcomed him into the BRS.

The Minister assured the new entrants that they would get due recognition in the party. The event was attended by several BRS leaders and workers.

BJP president (Soan mandal) Myaka Prem Kumar, ward members Ganta Mahender, Srikanth, Pesari Damu and others joined the BRS in presence of Indrakaran Reddy.

Transport Minister P Ajay Kumar has called upon the BRS cadre to reach out to the public explaining the development and welfare programmes being implemented by the State government.

The 13 Assembly constituencies in erstwhile Karimnagar district saw three changes in the BRS candidates from previous elections, with eight sitting MLAs being renominated.
