Borlakunta Rajender was apprehended on the charges of snatching a gold chain from a woman in Jannaram mandal centre on Thursday

U Sagar (24), a private school van driver from Lingampally was arrested for chain snatching offences at Alkapur Colony in Narsingi on Wednesday.

Two young Bidar residents were arrested on the charge of snatching a gold chain from a woman in broad daylight at Khaleelpur village in Nyalkal mandal on September 6.

The five persons Mohd Zaker (28) a car driver, Mohd Asif (35) a plumber, Shaik Mohiuddin (26), Aijaz Khan (28) and Mohd Azam (28), all three labourers were caught by the Falaknuma police.

The arrested are Sunith Kumar, Ravi and Rajesh, who were committing chain snatching in the city.

The gang had flicked away gold chains from women in Jawaharnagar, Shamirpet, and Cheryala police station limits in Siddipet.

In the first case, the police arrested a couple Arun Kumar alias Nanny (23), and his wife Anuradha alias Nikki (20), along with Rambabu (20) and a minor boy.

The offenders escaped when chased by the Osmania University students

The couple had mortgaged the gold chain with a person at Hyderabad and took some money for their needs.

The arrested person is Ch. Veeraraghavulu Akash (23), a food delivery executive from New Bhoiguda in Secunderabad.
