Disclosing details, Commissioner of Police M Srinivasulu said the seizure took place based on reliable information that spurious cotton seeds were being transported to Maharashtra from Karnataka.
He also visited the floating solar site by boat and appreciated the project. Later, he visited the Telangana STPP Control room and interacted with the operation and maintenance (O&M) team.
The commissioner further said that it was impossible for any criminal to escape from the law as the investigation was carried out using technology and scientific methods of investigation.
Participating in an interaction session with senior officials from NTPC and Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL), Vismita Tej discussed the scenario of coal availability, evacuation and logistics.
SCCL, which is operating thermal and solar power units in different parts of Singareni, is learned to have decided to set up another power unit in Ramagundam coal belt area.
Speaking on the occasion, Srinivas said that all police officers as well as staff should be ready to provide security to general elections and complete polls in a peaceful manner.
The Sustainable & Resilient Energy Infrastructure award was secured by the 100 MW floating solar power plant at National Thermal Power Corporation-Ramagundam.
