After assuming charge, Syed Ali Murtuza Rizvi held a meeting with senior officials to get firsthand information about the power position and financial conditions of power utilities

All the senior Energy department officials are attending the meeting and will be presenting details of the financial situation of the utilities – TSTransco, TSGenco, and the two power distribution companies, TSSPDCL and TSNPDCL.

Telangana has become the first State in the country to provide 24 hour free power supply to the agriculture sector having a huge base of around 27.5 lakh agricultural connections from January 2018 onwards, the CMD said.

The availability of uninterrupted power supply to the agriculture sector created a strong ecosystem to strengthen the rural economy, particularly the agricultural and aqua-based activities in the State.

In a statement issued here, TSTRANSCO and TSGENCO Chairman and Managing Director D Prabhakar Rao stated that Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao had directed power utilities to gear up to meet the demand of 15,500 MW during the season.

The 15th edition of ELECRAMA will host a series of events and exhibitors under the marquee event viz. World Utility Summit, eTechnxt, Change X Change – Reverse Buyers and Sellers Meet, DBSM – Domestic Buyer Seller Meet, and Buildelec.
