On behalf of the State government, Tourism Minister Jupally Krishna Rao and Chief Secretary A Santhi Kumari participated in the 'Sri Krodhi Nama Samvatsaradi Ugadi Vedukalu' and 'Panchanga Patanam' organised by the Tourism and Culture department of the State government at Ravindra Bharathi.

"Ugadi marks the start of the Hindu New Year in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, while Gudi Padwa is celebrated in Maharashtra, Yugad in Karnataka, and Navreh in Kashmir."

The schemes include the Super Saver Metro Holiday Card, Metro Student Pass, and Super Off Peak Hour Offer, all of which will now continue for the next six months.

A flurry of activity was witnessed as residents thronged the rythu bazaars, bustling with the demand for mango leaves, neem flowers, fruits, sugarcane, and other traditional essentials used in preparing the auspicious Ugadi pachadi.
