A technical glitch in HMWSSB’s IVRS system disrupted customer services, including tanker bookings, across Hyderabad. The helpline remained non-operational, forcing residents to rely on alternative methods. Officials said efforts were underway to restore services at the earliest.

HMWSSB has issued a public alert warning consumers about fraudulent SMS messages threatening disconnection of water connections if bills are not paid. The scam involves directing recipients to contact another mobile number, which then sends an APK file via WhatsApp under the pretext of processing.

Forum for Good Governance (FGG) has requested the Chief minister A Revanth Reddy to direct various departments to clear over Rs. 2,000 crore in pending dues to the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB). Drinking water supply in several areas of Hyderabad will be disrupted on Thursday due to repair work on a leakage in the Krishna water pipeline (Phase-I), according to Ashok Reddy, MD of Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWS&SB).

Of those calls, 14 per cent of customers said that their problems were marked as resolved although the issues were still unresolved.

The app is used by a set of trained manpower called Green Brigade who are permitted to give physical water supply connections under the single window cell.&SB contractors is all set to receive new updates to make the interface user-friendly.

The capacity of each of these reservoirs is 17 mega litres (ML). Additionally, a pipeline of 265 kilometres is also being laid in the area.

While the number of tankers at the start of April was 613, with the increase in demand, the number grew to a fleet of 840. Along with tankers, more filling stations and filling points have also been added in the last few weeks.

In addition to reconstruct broken manholes, the Water Board MD has asked officials to install new covers.

Will act as data bank, for non-domestic trips

So far, three locations have been finalized — Gandipet, Kokapet, and Puppalaguda. Each of these vertical plants will be able to treat three MLD of water, adding nine MLD of fresh water supply in the area.

Cases have been booked against them in Jeedimetla police station under sections 269 and 430 IPC.
