Medak MP Kotha Prabhakar Reddy said BJP was not giving priority to farmers' issues in the country despite being in power for over a decade.

He called on the party cadre to rededicate themselves to the development of the nation and bring in new policies to replace the BJP-led Central government’s failed anti-people policies.

In a statement issued on Friday, BJP State official spokesperson said BRS would not make any impact in national politics as many other national parties tried to defeat PM Modi but failed as people of the country stood behind him.

He extended his wishes to the party President and Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao and the party cadre on behalf of the NRIs.

The Election Commission of India on Thursday formally approved the change of name of the TRS to BRS.
