The Bharat Rashtra Samithi will be setting into motion a major political force in India at its first public meeting in Khammam on Wednesday

In an exclusive interview to 'Telangana Today', the SP chief spoke at length about the role of BRS and KCR in uniting the opposition parties to take on BJP in the 2024 Lok Sabha polls.

They are all scheduled to participate in the BRS public meeting to be held in Khammam on Wednesday

The meeting assumes political significance as it is the first public meeting after the TRS decided to go national by renaming itself as BRS and also because leaders of different opposition parties would be seen together.

The meeting would be conducted on 100 acres of land while 20 parking lots were being arranged over 448 acres.

As the stage is set for the BRS’ first historic public meeting in Khammam, the minister shared his views with Telangana Today on the significance and necessity of the party in Indian politics.

All along the main thoroughfares, national highways, many hoardings and banners have been set up extending Sankranti wishes by the BRS party leaders and workers.

The party president and CM KCR is also expected to elaborate on the party's farmer-centric and development-centric agenda to the people of the nation.

The minister said the Khammam meeting was an important meeting for the BRS party, the national level leaders and CMs of three States would attend the meeting.

B Dinesh Chowdhary alleged that during a dharna at Indira Park, the Congress leader gave a provocative and instigating statement against the Chief Minister.

After emerging as BRS from TRS, CM KCR will address the party's first public meeting in Khammam on January 18, Transport Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar said.

The public meeting will be held after the Chief Minister inaugurates the integration district offices complex or collectorate complex in Khammam on the same day.

Notably, Telangana BJP State President Bandi Sanjay on Friday visited the house of the deceased farmer at Adloor Yellareddy village in Kamareddy and blamed the government for the suicide of the farmer.
