In total, 465 lakh tonnes of coal has been supplied to consumers through 2591 rail wagons so far this year by the company.

After formation of State under the directions of CM KCR, the company has produced 480 million tonnes of coal which was 40 percent of total coal produced since the company inception.

As per a tweet from the company's official Twitter handle, Team Singareni ''achieved highest ever daily coal production and dispatch in this FY by producing record 2.24 lakh tonnes and dispatching 2.35 lakh tonnes on Dec 20.

In the last 18 days, an average of 2.15 lakh tonnes of coal was produced and the same amount of coal was transported, and an overburden extraction of 15.4 lakh cubic meters was also removed in a record time.

The heavy rains that have been lashing the erstwhile Khammam district have affected coal production in the SCCL opencast mines and disrupted normal life.

Coal production and removal of overburden was affected in Kothagudem, Yellandu, Manugur and Sathupalli areas as the mines were inundated with rainwater haulage roads turned slippery.
