As part of his visit, the Minister also inaugurated two integrated markets constructed at a cost of Rs. 5 crore. One market is dedicated to vegetables and meat, while the other caters to fruits and flowers.
This would entail an investment of Rs 225 crore and has an employment potential for 500 people in the first phase, according to an official press release here on Wednesday.
KT Rama Rao said each ward office will have 10 staff members from various departments and will be led by the Ward Administrative Officer (WAO), an Assistant Municipal Commissioner rank officer.
The Minister said Hyderabad would be leading the country in terms of waste-to-energy plants from the existing capacity of 24 MW to 101 MW by December 2024.
KTR said the South States of Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Telangana have done well in population control, and are being penalised for their progressive policies.
The facility will be set up with the investment potential of around US$ 54 million and employment potential for around 150 people in a couple of phases.
KTR will be showcasing Telangana’s success in water resource management, especially the Kaleshwaram project and Mission Bhagiratha at the World Environmental & Water Resources Congress to be held in United States.
