Wednesday saw the smooth and tranquil conduct of Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL)'s recognized trade union elections in the district.

As many as 39, 773 National Coal Wage Agreement (NCWA) employees were eligible to cast their vote in the elections in Kothagudem, Peddapalli, Bhupalpally, Khammam, Mulugu, Mancherial and Asifabad districts besides Hyderabad

The company currently produces hydrogen gas using thermal electricity and electrolysis chemical methods. The two 600 MW generators at the STPP use hydrogen as a coolant to reduce heat.
