The sudden downpour disrupted normal life and many thoroughfares and  low lying areas were inundated with rain wates.

According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) - Hyderabad, the southwest monsoon has further advanced into some more parts of Maldives-Comorin area.

IMD Hyderabad has also issued a warning for thunderstorms at isolated places in the State over the next five days

The temperature, which was pegged at 38.4 degree Celsius, was one degree less than the normal temperature by Tuesday evening.

As a safety measure, the special commissioner advised farmers, farm labourers, shepherds and others not to stay in open places or under the trees.

According to the Met department, the rainy climate is a result of the cyclonic circulation over the Comorin area and neighbourhood at 1.5 km above the mean sea level.
