During the raids carried out at the said two premises, DCA officials detected over 150 varieties of medicines and seized Rs 2.30 lakh worth of medicines.

The product Meropenem Injection IP 1gm sold under brand name ‘Meroamp 1000 Injection’ and the product Itraconazole Capsules 200 mg sold under the brand name ‘Itradol-200 Capsules’ are under price control as per Drugs (Prices Control) Order, 2013 and the price of the products should be in accordance with the ‘Ceiling Price’ fixed by NPPA, DCA said.

The DCA teams on Monday also conducted raids at a blood bank Haemo Service Laboratories, which was located in a residential building at Bhavani Nagar, Moosapet and detected a huge stock of human plasma bags that were stored in freezers.

TSDCA seized a Unani medicine which is manufactured and marketed by RS Unani Pharmacy under brand name ‘Uni Stones’ powder claiming that it can treat kidney and gall stones, which is a contravention of the Drugs and Magic Remedies Act

Hydrogen Peroxide solution sold to the patients shall be in conformance with the standards laid down in the Indian Pharmacopoeia and shall bear the product name as ‘Hydrogen Peroxide Solution IP’ mandatorily

The DCA officers have lifted the samples for analysis and further investigation shall be carried out and action shall be taken as per the law against all the offenders.
