All junior colleges will have first term holidays from September 27 to October 5. The colleges will be reopened on October 6

Students have been advised to check correctness of photo, signature, name, medium, subject appearing etc., indicated in the hall tickets

The last date for receipt of applications in the junior colleges is May 31. The classes will commence on June 1 and the deadline for concluding first phase admissions is June 30.

The TS BIE has recently levied a penalty of Rs.1 lakh each on 27 corporate and private junior colleges for operating classes in the summer vacation besides holding first year admissions before announcement of schedule by the TS BIE.

The first year exams will be held from 9 am to 12 noon, and second-year exams from 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm.

A staggering 170 malpractice cases were booked during the examinations that were conducted from February 28 to March 19 as against 69 in IPE-2023.

The department is also focusing on formulating a new law to regulate fees and planning to come up with a new fee structure for the junior college before going in for admissions online.

A fee of Rs.500 will be charged for grant of attendance exemption. Candidates have to make the payment and submit the application on or before May 1.

The results will be released by Principal Secretary, Education, Burra Venkatesham and Secretary, TS BIE, Shruthi Ojha.

In a statement, the Board said it received complaints highlighting unauthorized admission activities, pre-admissions and misleading testing procedures being conducted by certain private junior colleges.

Asking students to reach their respective centres by 8.45 am, the BIE said students who reach late after 9 am would be given a five minutes grace period.

Coaching institutions would now have to mention candidate’s rank, course and its duration, whether paid or free, in their advertisements and are barred from making the claim of 100 per cent selection, job guaranteed or guaranteed qualifying in any examination

The vacation is applicable to all junior colleges – government, private aided and unaided, co-operative, TS Residential, Social Welfare Residential, Tribal Welfare Residential, Model Schools, BC Welfare, KGBVs and Incentive junior colleges
