TRS working president and IT and Industries Minister K T Rama Rao on Tuesday said the party accepts the verdict of the people in favour of the BJP in the Dubbak by-election.

So far 45,175 votes were counted, BJP got 20,226 votes, TRS polled 17,559 and Congress polled 3254 votes.

According to the official results up to the second round Raghunandan Rao polled 9223 votes, Sujatha 7964 and Srinivas Reddy of Congress was polled only 1931 votes.

Arrangements for counting of votes were made by the officials by strictly adhering to Covid-19 regulations.

“The people of Dubbak were determined to teach the TRS a lesson this time around. They considered BJP as the only viable alternative that had the guts to face the TRS”, said TS BJP state president Bandi Sanjay Kumar

Polling will be held from 7 am to 6 pm at 315 polling stations and the administration has made all the arrangements in compliance with Covid-19 norms
