Agriculture Minister Singireddy Niranjan Reddy will inaugurate the Superintendent of Police (SP) office on May 30

The victim, who went to the Lakshmi pushkarini on Tuesday morning for a bath and reportedly had a bout of seizures, was from Amarachinthala of Athmakur mandal in Wanaparthy district.

In a tragic incident, three persons, including a mother and daughter, who were trying to cross an overflowing bridge on a motorbike were washed away.

The three were identified as Santoshamma (35), her daughter Parimala (18), and Santoshamma's nephew Sai Kumar (25). The trio were returning from Kothakota to Koukuntla village of Devarkadra Mandal when the incident happened.

The prime suspect Srisailam (23), who was interrogated by the police, is believed to have confessed to raping the victim before killing her.
