The minister inaugurated a Basti Dawakhana set up at a cost of Rs.4.98 lakh in the old municipal corporation building of 37th division in Khammam on Monday.
Sukhender Reddy said that BRS meeting showed a direction for protection of secularism in the country by scuttling the efforts of BJP to create religious rift among the people for its political benefits.
It might be recalled that the Chief Minister during his address at the BRS public meeting here on Wednesday assured to sanction funds for the bridge construction following a request from Transport Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar.
He demanded BJP state president Bandi Sanjay, union Minister Kishan Reddy and PCC president Revanth Reddy for a debate on the development made in the State by the BRS government.
There was an air of excitement at the BRS’ first public meeting as the party cadre and people gathered in large numbers to listen to Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao and other national leaders
People had elected the BJP to power for two terms in the hope that there would be some development, especially with regard to employment and welfare, but their hopes were dashed, he said.
Stating that the BRS had supporters in other States too, he said all like minded parties along with BRS would work together to bring a new regime at the Centre with progressive agenda, he said.
After performing a special puja at Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple at Yadadri, the leaders will leave for Khammam to participate in the inauguration of the Integrated District Collectorate Complex
The programme will be launched by CM KCR in the presence of three Chief Ministers from other States as well at the Khammam Integrated District Offices Complex
