In two separate incidents, two elderly persons died when they were waiting in polling stations to cast their votes in Adilabad

Prominent personalities such as actors, sports persons and politicians have taken to X to share their photographs asking voters to cast their right.

The Election Commission of India reported 20.64 per cent voter turnout by 11:00 am.

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao exchanged greetings with a few individuals assembled at the polling station.

According to the poll commission, Adilabad recorded a voter turnout of 30.65 per cent, Bhadradri at 22.05 per cent, Hanumankonda at 21.43 per cent and Jagtial at 22.50 per cent.

During the polling at the government junior college's premises on Thursday, there was a period of mild tension at polling station 244.

Polling was delayed in booth number 302 of Ibrahimpatnam of Korutla constituency, booth number 228 of Gollapalli mandal of Jagtial segment and booth number 39 of Dharmapuri mandal of Dharmapuri constituency.

The district administrations of Khammam and Kothagudem districts made elaborate arrangements to conduct polling in a smooth and peaceful manner. Voters started arriving in large numbers at the polling stations at 7 am to cast their votes.

At 2 am, about 700 policemen of APSP barged on to the dam through the left main gates on the side of the right bank and reportedly clashed with the personnel of TSSF, who were guarding the dam. Some of the Telangana policemen were injured in the incident.

The State will have about 3.26 crore voters lining up in front of 35,655 polling stations to choose their representatives from 2,290 candidates in 119 constituencies.

CM KCR clarified that Rythu Bandhu was never a waste of money, and he has plans to increase it to Rs. 16000 per acre soon after BRS comes into power this time.

Deeksha Diwas is celebrated in Telangana on November 29 every year to commemorate the commencement of the indefinite hunger strike undertaken by BRS chief K Chandrashekhar Rao.
