Forest officials in Khammam arrested four persons, including a forest watcher and a morning walker, for hunting deer at Neeladri Urban Park under Sathupally Municipality. The accused were remanded in judicial custody till December 16. Cases were booked under the Telangana Forest Act, Wildlife Protection Act, and Arms Act.

Briefing details of the operation, Neeraj Kumar disclosed that the tiger was roaming in the forests located on the borders of both Telangana and Maharashtra. He asked the officials to be alert. He stated that 20 teams were scanning the forests to locate the tiger, while 21 CCTV cameras and a live camera were installed to capture its images.

District Forest Officer Nagini Banu reported that tiger pugmarks were spotted in a cotton field on the outskirts of Parimandal village. She mentioned that the tiger's movements are being monitored using CCTV cameras and animal trackers. The gender and age of the tiger are yet to be determined.
