TRS working president and IT and Industries Minister K T Rama Rao on Tuesday said the party accepts the verdict of the people in favour of the BJP in the Dubbak by-election.

A total of 1,831 persons recovered on Monday taking the cumulative Covid-19 recoveries in the State to 2,32,489 with a recovery rate of 92.09 per cent.

The decision was taken to facilitate instant mutation of non-agricultural properties through online mode in the Dharani portal.

Across the State, over 70 percent of people own pattas while in a few areas like Jawaharnagar, residents were yet to get the pattas, he said.

So far 45,175 votes were counted, BJP got 20,226 votes, TRS polled 17,559 and Congress polled 3254 votes.

According to the official results up to the second round Raghunandan Rao polled 9223 votes, Sujatha 7964 and Srinivas Reddy of Congress was polled only 1931 votes.

The Chief Minister said Mahesh would be remembered in history as the one who sacrificed his life for the country.

Arrangements for counting of votes were made by the officials by strictly adhering to Covid-19 regulations.
